After a successful release of KDEN V2.2, I'm happy to officially announce the two new GA airports I teased, KBLU Blue Canyon Nyack and A30 Scott Valley for X-Plane 12! Both airports are quite small, but their beautiful surroundings make them a joy to fly out of. Both airports are based on on-site photographs to ensure maximum accuracy, and both are in the final stages of cleanup/release prep!
KBLU - Blue Canyon Nyack:

Blue Canyon Nyack Airport is located near Emigrant Gap in the beautiful Sierra Nevadas in Northern California. It is located 30 miles west of scenic Lake Tahoe and 40 miles north east of Sacramento. KBLU sits atop a canyon ridge, with runway 15 sitting just 300 feet beyond interstate 80, making for a scenic, but challenging approach. This thrilling approach makes Blue Canyon Nyack Airport a popular destination for touch-and-gos among private pilots sightseeing over the Sierra Nevadas.
A30 - Scott Valley:

Scott Valley airport is nestled in beautiful Scott Valley California, 5 miles south of Fort Jones CA, and 8 miles north of the city of Etna. Surrounded by mountains rising between two and five thousand feet above its 2,732-foot elevation, the view from Scott Valley is stunning, especially in winter when the surrounding peaks are covered by snow. The airport is un-towered, but offers 100LL Avgas, a small pilot’s center, and bathrooms. Runway lighting is provided by pilot-controlled lighting on the CTAF frequency, 122.800 MHz. Interestingly, Scott Valley doesn’t have an AWOS, rather pilots should tune Siskiyou County Airport ASOS on 121.125. In addition, Scott Valley is home to a wildfire fighting helitack base that operates June through October.
Features:
Both of these airports share a similar feature list, including:
Realistic, high resolution ground textures:
Custom decals provide extreme close up detail, without tiling artifacts
Realistic, accurate wear (tire skid marks, dirt, spills, etc)
Realistic wet and snow effects
High quality buildings:
Highly detailed models based on on-site photographs match the real thing
Near photo-realistic textures
Baked low poly LODs for maximum performance with minimal visual loss
Realistic seasonal effects:
Subtle color shifts of vegetation at Blue Canyon
Blue Canyon's grass is dense and has scattered flowers in spring, sparse in the summer, and sparser yet and dried and dead in the fall and winter
Scott Valley has falling leaves in the autumn, along with leaves scattered on the ground
Realistic high quality clutter (dumpsters, cones, etc)
Pilot Controlled Lighting via my Living Scenery Technology plugin (activated with 5 rapid presses of PTT on CTAF)
Neither of these sceneries will be shipping with a custom mesh or extensive orthophotos, which may seem unusual for my sceneries haha, but given their relatively flat nature, one is not needed. In addition, the lack of a custom mesh gives you more freedom to combine it with whatever base scenery you like, be that default, AutoOrtho, Ortho4XP, or some other solution (I highly recommend pairing them with Ortho4XP mesh and X-America overlays for some fantastic surrounding scenery).
As mentioned before, these sceneries are nearly complete and will be available soon! They've been a joy to develop, and alot of fun to fly into during testing, so I can't wait to get these out so you have the opportunity to enjoy them as well!
So, without further ado, here are the preview photos!
